Macro Shots with DIY Lens

Today I came across an webpage showing how to use a lens from an old dvd player to take macro shots on my phone camera (samsung galaxy note 2)

here are the shots I was able to take with this DIY Mod:

Wow that's cool if the lens I have just ordered doesn't work I would like the link for that. Those pictures are excellent and nice shrimp too

I would imagine it will work with any phone camera, I couldn't believe it would work so well tho!

Now that you point it out and I had a good hard look at it, it looks kinda like an Alien from the "Alien" movies. Is that what you see CNgo?

She is shrimphrodite, goddess of shrimp love and fertility. So lucky to have her bless your shrimp tank, This means you will have a lot of shrimp breeding in that tank. LOL!

I took apart and tried the lens from a $2 laser pointer which was no longer functioning and these are the results (sorry for hijacking thread aquathumb but it is DIY macro lens)
