What do you do for off colour cherry

Guys,

im experimenting a black cherry cross red cherry - just curious what it might turn be. There is one one black male and 2 red female cherry. Maybe there are members here tried it before, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I have a quite number offsprings here already, only 1 generation and i found some grow bigger really quick. But i have some issue that their colour arent nice. Some greenish with a bit hint of yellow but mostly a very pale ones - almost translucent. Just wonder what do you do with those cull or very low quality ones? I dont keep fish so cant use them as food.

Thanks

You will need to separate the translucent shrimp from the good coloured ones, or they will set your programme back when they are of breeding age. What you do with them after separating them is up to you.

You could keep them, and see if they breed anything worth keeping in the next generation. But anything worthwhile is going to be a very low percentage.

You can give them away to anyone that wants them.

Patience and luck is required when you mix two neocaridina colours. That and a lot of tanks to separate the different colours.

Thanks Jayc. I hope the lucky lady is on my side. I dont have many tanks to play around. hopefully i can get some surprise from them.
