Cross-breeding

Featured Replies

Hi,  I'm new to this forum and to the hobby:)

I have put In the same tank tanderine tigers and blue velvet cherry.

I wanted 2 species that would not cross-breed.

Is this the case?

As I see charts with different opinios.

Thanks Leo

hi le0 and welcome

short answer is that tigers and bee shrimps can interbreed with each other but not with cherries.

focus on keeping the tank parameters good for the tigers as a first priority, because cherry shrimps are much tougher, more adaptable and will still survive and breed in most any parameters as long as the water quality is good :-)
