What he said lol

I was thinking hot water but that would probably force your tank to cycle again and kill any vegetation which isn't desirable. How are they with temp fluctuations? If you have a heater you could always crank it up a notch (without the shrimp).

Decided tonight to have a good sift through the tank, found another 2. One my Misch section and one in with the CRS culls. The Crs culls is pretty heavily planted and this one was BIG. Has now been devoted to experimentation. I've put it in a breeder box with a cherry full and will see if they will actually go for something that size (Juvie shrimp 10mm)

No in the garage but the eaves are not lined so we have possums and anything else able to fly in

Try using a torch at night. I find that they come out mostly at night!

Yeah I've spotted most of them just after turning on the lights!

Well this was intensely satisfying! Experimenting on how these things can be killed.....

Made the 'mask' come out

There are a lot of fish that eat these however they will also make a meal of your shrimp. Try frozen daphnia or frozen mosquito larvae and wait for the little predators to hopefully attach to the food and then painstakingly net them out. Good luck!
