prodibio biodigest

Featured Replies

I have looking for a way of shortening the cycling time of my new tanks and i came accross the prodibio.

Do any of you use this product and does it actually speed up the cycling or is there another product better on the market ?

Thanks

Don't know about Prodibio.

Though, I have a buddy who used Bio Nitrivec from SERA to setup a tank. He put 10 Blue Pearls I gave him in this tank a week after, and all survived.

NO2 and NO3 were very low, in a good range

Thanks Matuva.

I m setting 4 more tanks with some ada amazonia, unfortunatly it leaches a lot of ammonia/ammonium and even with a mature filter it takes a while for the bacteria to convert it to nitrite and nitrate.

I never have this kind of issue the other substrate i used but i was given a bag of ada in exchange for some shrimps in a shop so i decided to use .it

I have not used this product yet, but I do plan to get some to try. It is called ATM Colony , has big claims and can be seen on youtbe

I haven't use the ADA soil yet, so I don't know much about it. Though, from what I have read, it seems ADA soil will release ammonia for weeks, and you will have to perform water changes very often, till it finally cycle...

Have heard about biodigest, very high concentrate of BB produced in France. Haven't seen that in Australia. Probably relate to germs protection from custom.

Bit late to this thread. I must have missed it at the time however the fastest way to cycle active soils is to lift the ph temporarily to rapidly establish nitrifying bacteria. If in a rush I do this using potassium bicarbonate. The residual byproduct is a fertiliser.
