How to delete old PM messages easily?

Is there a special trick to it?

I can only see a delete all.

Select "Empty"

Yeah, I see that too. But I don't want to delete all messages.

There are actually some PMs with valuable information that I'd like to keep.

But a ton of old messages of various transactions, or general chit chat that I'd like to remove.

Is there another option that is not enabled, @NoGi ?

I'll take a look over the next day or two. Currently in bed with what feels worse than the man flu. ?

Ok so treat them as conversations. To delete the entire conversation you simply leave it.

To delete only a part of the conversation, delete just that part via options.

Just test it on a thread you definitely don't want first. Once deleted it's gone for good.

Thanks for that.

"Leave conversation will delete the entire conversation" - got it.

As for deleting part of the conversation ... I see the problem ... we don't have the Options setting. I think this is only for Mods.

I tried deleting some old messages by "Leaving the conversation" ... OMG !

It's sooooo slow and tedious. Too much of a chore.

I was hoping to be able to select multiple old conversations and hit a delete button.

I'm doing a quick site upgrade in an hour and will check after that.
