What color shrimp do we miss?

Featured Replies

Hey,

So far, I've seen almost all colors when it come to shrimp. So I wonder, what color do we miss and do you think it can be achieved?

I think of:

- Pink

- Real gold color

- Gray

I've seen it in nature, so it must me possible right?

What do you think, which color is missing in the shrimp world?

Purple is another for freshwater dwarf shrimp.. :)

I really really really want purple !!

I agree, pink and purple would both be extremely popular.

I wonder about metallic colours too, these could look amazing. I'm not sure where they would come from though.

Pink and purple definately

Metallics would be amazing. You can get the oily reflective sheen on some blacks and blues in the right light.

I would gladly house some silvers and golds!! A bling tank!!

I was thinking of you when I put in my vote for pink Ineke.

Purple, I've seen something that is going in that direction:

A quick and dirty photoshop edit, but imagine how awesome a pink shrimp would be :p.

Is this genetic even possible?

Photo could be a little more bright, but indeed, looks like gold shades! Would love to see more of this.

The shrimp of anthonyd looks nice too, but more yellow then could as far as I can see.

You are right shrimpmaster it is more yellow tan gold but precious to me lol.

You can see some nice metallic colours on some taitibee but never saw one in person so doesnt know if the pictures reflect reality...

I would assume most colours would be a possible .... all about selective breeding. I've had gold & purple pop up, but had no success with selectively breeding them.....

Also, had a deeper/solid purple previously, but cant find it's pic. Had had random purple base coming out of my blue cherry program occasionally too....I'll see whether I can find some today.

I've had close to a dark purple from my blue gene chocolates.

That pic of the blue cherry is fantastic Blue Bolts. The underlying pink coming through with the blue/purple is spectacular.
