Boss Mineral Balls are here!

Featured Replies

As some of you might remember from my thread "How to build a rack in under 3hrs for less than $50" I've just started up some more tanks, that was over 6 months ago & when I did this I thought I'd do a little experiment with a new product in my range, Boss Mineral Balls are the same thing as all the other mineral balls only cheaper.

I put 6 mineral balls in one of the two tanks I set up & none in the other to see the difference, everything else was the same & wholly moley is there a difference.

The tank with the balls has very little algae & had only two deaths

Whereas the tank without the balls is full of hair algae & has had over 20 deaths.

This is an amazing result but I'm not going to say that these balls get rid of algae, I'd say they help to prevent it from starting to grow in the first place & make a difference in the quality of the water which helps to prevent shrimp deaths. For me they are a definite must in any shrimp tank! :thumbsu:

Awesome!! Another great product, and a brilliant price too!!

Great. How many balls per litre?

I recommend using 1 every 10-20L, so a 100L tank would have from 5 to 10 balls in it & they would last a year or two depending on the water you have. :thumbsu:

Awesome Jay your products will take the shrimp world by storm soon

they look like a great size to jay! i brought some MK breed mineral balls and was highly disappointed by their size so thing i will be making a purchase soon :)
