Welcome to the forum, hope you have as much fun here as we do! :welcome:

Hi all :) thanks for the welcome. Have now had red cherry shrimp and yellows for around 12 months. Just really learning the basics first before I move on to more expensive shrimp. Cant wait to learn more!

Hey welcome to SKF.

Thanks fishmosy.... trying to get my head around using the forum but slowly working it out!

Anything we can help you with?

Welcome to SKF youve come to the right place to learn

Welcome to the forum. There is a ton of info and nice people here. ;)

Thanks for the welcome :) Sorry it took me a while to post, but out in the middle of the desert at the moment and had no internet for days....(for a woman this is just a disaster lol) but I am just taking the first few basic steps in learning with my shrimp. But sooner or later I will make the jump in to a bit more expensive shrimp. What would you all recommend for the next step in shrimp after the red and yellow cherry shrimp?

CRS are probably the next step for most people. These are hardier than pintos, bluebolts ect. but require a bit more finesse than cherries. You could also try any of the Australian natives, these are generally pretty hardy (excluding zebras) but breeding them may be a challenge depending on the species.

Will have to have a look around then for some CRS and see what I can find. I might sell all my reds and keep my yellows and just start off with the lowest costing CRS to make sure that I have a handle on getting the right settings for them. But thanks for your help :) appreciated lots.

Now that you are a Premium member, you should be able to see the SKF marketplace and the For Sale forum.

Newbreed has some A/S grade juvie CRS for sale at a reasonable price that you might be interested in.

It's certainly a lot cheaper than purchasing them in a store.

Oh I will be PMing him soon! Little bit excited about my next step. Just got to set my other tank up when I get home on the 18th Dec :)
