diy shrimp food

Featured Replies

hey all!

is there any breeder and keeper that produces is own shrimp mix?

if yes let us know your recipe :)

thanks all!

We are very lucky with shrimp in that they will eat a variety of foods, unlike most fish.

In terms of dry foods, there have been a few new products come onto the market which are much cheaper than ever before. For example bossaquaria's crack and snow. I think this pretty much makes producing your own dry food inefficient. I'd much rather spend time with family or shrimp than spend an hour or two making shrimp food, especially since the amount of money I could save is negligible.

However there are lots of diy foods that can be fed quickly and easily. Fruits, flowers, pollen, vegetables, ect. ect.

You'll find lots of info on these foods in threads within this subforum (Food and Nutrition).

I was given a free sample of Shrimp crack from Aquotix.

All I can say is wow. I have never seen the shrimp react to a food like they did when I put shrimp crack into the feeding dish.

Sorry rodribike the above comment isn't relevant to you post but I believe there is a good sticky in this section with some DIY shrimp food recipes.
