Welcome to the forum ;)

Cheers for the welcome.

I'm from country South Australia and have recently started out keeping shrimp, enjoy the little critters cruising around my tank.

At the moment I am keeping 50+ Red Cherry Shrimp, 12 Yellow Cherry Shrimp, 10 Chameleon Shrimp, 10 Darwin Algae Shrimp and 6 Crystal Red Shrimp, am not looking to breed so the cross breeding of the Red and Yellow Cherries doesn't bother me, I just think they are all cool and enjoy watching them (watched a YCS and a CRS fight over a algae wafer lastnight, was funny).

I'll post my tank and set up in another section so keep an eye out for that.

Cheers again, SKFadmin, KillieOrCory.

hey mate :) see you made it as well haha

Hey welcome to the forum. Sounds like you enjoy watching your shrimp as much as I do.

Yeah thought I'd jump on board and have a suss, haha, Perplex was the one that told me about this forum.

Cheers, just think they are interesting to watch really, have had fish in the past but kind of thought they were a little boring, although Corys and Clown Loaches are cool, wanted to keep a nice and tidy tank that looked nice and clean and had plenty of plant life and having a smaller tank thought Shrimp would be interesting, started with the Red Cherry Shrimp, liked them so went on to the Yellow Cherry Shrimp and liked them so thought I'd look at others, saw that Dave and Robyn at AquaGreen had a range so looked into them and bought Chameleon and Darwin Algae Shrimp and really liking them, thought about something more display like so bought 6 Crystal Red Shrimp and WOW the colour are unreal, really stand out, unreal, I have 3 small Common Bristlenose in the tank also, very small so they won't bother the Shrimp at all, slightly larger than a large adult Darwin Algae Shrimp so they all get along well.

Good stuff. CRS really pop against a black background (substrate), dont they? The bristlenoses might consume a few shrimplets as they get bigger, but it doesn't sound like you'll be too worried about it.

Welcome to the forum, hope you have as much fun here as we do! :welcome:

Cheers, well I can safely say this forum is a lot friendlier than another I've been on so should be good, ha.

Yeah once the Bristlenose get larger I'll get rid of them, the tank is pretty well planted so hopefully juvis are safe, have seen a few cruising around the last couple days.
