Welcome mate :)

Feel free to introduce yourself and share some photos as i know you've been in the game a while :)

Hello everyone.

For those who knows me. I am the Forever-mango on most other forums. I have been in the aquarium hobby all my life (over

29 years).

I have kept and breed most fish throughout my journey and have recent got into Taiwan Bee shrimps. I currently have 2 tanks.

A 5ft Cade for IAPLC 2015, and 40x40x35(h) nano for my Echinodorus collection & Taiwan Bees. In terms of breeding shrimps,

I mainly do cherries, not really line breeding, just for the pressure of looking at them. Currently in my 5ft I have a mixture of Fire

Reds, Yellows, Blues, Blacks and Sunkist Cherries. There is also one lonly male CRS. I will eventually remove my Tetras and add

in 200 or so +S CRS for breeding.

Other than the aquarium hobby. I show and grow orchids. I specialise in Australian Natives, Peloric & Variegated, Paphiopedilum

& Phragmipediums. While my parents are into Cymbidiums and others varieties. Since 2000 we have removed all veggies and

trees (other than the side of the house) and built the area up dedicated to growing orchids. In the recent few years, I have

invested into a heated glasshouse temps all year round (15-25*C) except days of extreme hot weather. This has prevented the

dying of my prized slipper orchids in extreme temps in winter. I have recently been exploring how to cross my own orchids, I

currently have a few crosses in pod, and hopefully have them in flask next year. Very excited.

Not much photos on my tanks at the moment as they will be entered in the next IAPLC in 2015. But here are some orchid that

has bloomed this year :)

Enjoy

Stephen :)

Hey Stephen, welcome to SKF. Nice orchids. Are you still into buces?

Cheers Buddy. Indeed I am, but slowly drifting off to Echinodorus and Marines :)

Wait till ADA releases the IAPLC 2014, I show you my scape :P

What does IAPLC stand for ? I love that white orchard which looks like fingers stretching out to get you lol

Iaplc is the major aquascaping organized by ADA.

Iaplc stands for International Aquatic plant layout contest.

All serious aquascapers around the world would enter this yearly. Having their winning works published on their website as well as in their book each year is already worth wild. They got a huge prize pool and huge party etc.

Nice so where is it held and do you just enter via photos online?

Cant wait. Do you know yet where you placed?

I'm ranked 1285 out of 2000 something.

I'm glad I'm not last in Australia :)

If you Google iaplc you can find the link of the results and soon photos. No entry fee and it's fun.

Nicely done. The quality of the scapes get better every year so to finish essentially mid pack is pretty good.

I've got to submit a tank for the biotope section, though thats AGA not IPLAC.
