Tatibees

Featured Replies

After looking at JPN07's beautiful Tatibees, I think I might like to get started in Taiwan Bee world.

Big shrimp are so much easier on the eyes. It would be another nice project alongside my Riffle shrimp.

What do I need to know?

What do I need to own? How much are they? (beginner quality prices please? )

Thanks.

The WP vary, IMO they're quite adaptable, as many generations have been bred in local locally. PH 6-7.5, TDS 80-220, GH 4-8, KH 0-2, but I'm sure manny are breeding them outside these WP. They're approx. $15-$20 each ? If you're keen, drop me a PM.

:jig: Thanks to @BlueBolts, I now have a small collection of beautiful shrimp, and another project to embark on! Yay!

Here are some photos of only a few of the new arrivals (I've broken my camera, and using the old one, so the photos are pretty ordinary.)

Now how do I best describe these shrimp? They belong in the Taiwan Bee group is that correct?

I don't yet know what direction to go with these, but for now I'll will let them all happily play together.   : DIZZY :

BlueBolts told me

There are approx. 2-5 months old. They've all got TB, OEBT, Tibee genetics, and Ive been breeding these line for 2years so approx. f4-6 generations.

If you x them with a TB (i.e. BB, WR or KK) you'll get even more amazing patterns

I want to ask a ton of questions. (poor BlueBolts, I don't want to drive him crazy with messages)

(I get a lot of eye rolling from my family, they are so not interested in my shrimp.

You can imagine trying to discuss shrimp genetics with them. :thumbsd: )

ie what is the difference between a "tibee"  and a "TB"

OEBT is an "Orange Eye Black Tiger" ? Correct?  or is it Blue?

Edited by yeswaitnosorry

Tb is a taiwan bee shrimp with the same gene. Tibee is a tiger shrimp crossed with a bee shrimp. And it's blue :-)
