Just had a quick update on my shrimp and my CRS colony has exploded with about 100 new babies happily grazing on the feeding dish. Yes yes photos or it didn't happen . A photo will be taken next feeding day whenever that may be. How exciting my non breeding Crystals are now constantly breeding and I still think the only change is the Blackwater extract although that won't be added while I'm away. No report on the other tanks but the shrimp are harder to see in the smaller tanks and don't stand out like the Crystals.

Can't wait to see what has happened but still at least 3 1/2 weeks before I get home :)

Awesomeness!

Absolutely fantastic news Ineke! :jig:

Yes I'm very happy I knew there were berried girls in there when I left . Claire said they were all in the feeding dish but there must be heaps more around the back of the tank that's got a lot of algae growing and not so easy to see. I had probably 100 adults so now my population will be at least double so that's great- still a long way to go to catch up to Eshrimp but I'm on my way!

Congrats!! Looking forward to the grazing horde pictures!

Not great, but awesome news :-). Strengthens the theory of just leaving them alone, undisturb, without any fiddling etc ... Huh.

they were berried before I left so I was still meddling but no way as much as I used too- it felt like I was neglecting my babies but they were thriving!

I had berried Tibees and Mischlings in another tank when I left so hoping they have lots of babies in there too!

Congrats well done.

Great news Ineke, Hope it all happens for me one day soon.

Awesome :pic:

Great news ineke, imagine the full tanks you will come home to.

Cheers mick

I don't want to wish away my holiday but can't wait to get back and see my tanks. It will be almost 2 months all up so there should be some changes and hopefully some exciting finds

.

Great news Ineke, Hope it all happens for me one day soon.

Patience is the name ,it took nearly 18 months for my Crystals to start breeding properly I thought I was destined to never be able to breed them.

piccies piccies piccies!!! :D
