Moss type advice

Featured Replies

I would REALLY like a ground cover for my shrimpies.  I did ask this at some point in the past but can't be stuffed locating and I think I was given a million options.  Something that doesn't go too crazy but also easy.  Also considering for my big fish tank too (aqua 850).  Best suggestion???

I'd say Flame moss or Mini Pelia

HC is an awesome ground cover(Hemianthus callitrichoides)

This pic is from a guy in the US on another forum(Aquaticquotient), his username is Plantbrain. :thumbsu:

HC is pretty sick.... I have some in my planted but its only 100x100mm.Im going to grow some emersed and then try do a full carpet. Think high light and co2!!!

Agree with mini pellia but it could get pretty expensive to carpet a tank with it. A cheaper alternative could be subwassertang, its also really easy to grow.

Ooooh just googled, like that!  Damn, so hard to pick.  Any good online suppliers for moss?  I checked the usual crew listed here but I can't seem to find moss for sale like they used to.  OR anyone selling?  I did see the moss profile thread but unsure where exchange is.

You'll need to become a premium member to view the classifieds section. There is usually a few mosses available there.

Alternatively, check with our sponsors (LCA or Subscape) to see if they have what you are chasing.
