Well I Was so excited last week when my Giant Tibee was berried - it didn't last long once again she has dropped her eggs . She is the last adult left and I have 2 juvies from the other female I had so it looks like my Tibee journey is over until I finally bite the bullet and buy a Tiger.:dejection:

This is my big girl who was definitely berried a few days ago but not now. My small one has had one batch but I have only ever found 2 babies that I still have now. so I have 2 juvies and 2 females - The giant girl is very blue around her front end. Unfortunately I don't know much about their breeding as Ninja gave them 2 me around the time of the first Tibee auction and they were meant to be boys and just for show as I love the look of them. it was a bonus when 2 turned out to be female but I never had any luck with them. Ninja never told me what they were I just took it they were F1. <a href=%7Boption%7Dhttp://i1293.photobucket.com/albums/b583/ineke24/DSC_0017_zpsf2a838c0.jpg' alt='DSC_0017_zpsf2a838c0.jpg'>

So now I have to ask what do you breed them with - Tibee to Tibee, Tibee to Crystal or Tibee to Tiger? I haven't gone down this path and it's a bit hard to find much info on them. I know it depends on what you are after but to me I just love the look of the Tibee and don't have a plan as this is a lovely exciting surprise for me. Do I need to buy a Tiger ? I have a couple of TB's- panda and shadow panda, CBS Mischlings and CBS. I don't want to lose the look of the Tibee so any breeding info would be great. As with all my other shrimp I just breed for me not for selling and a tank with a lot of Tibees would be awesome:encouragement:

Depends on what you are going for with your breeding.I put some back over mum some back over dad and others tibee to tibee.Just try and breed the traits you want together eg heavy striped with heavy striped or ones with more white with a heavy striped to increase the white and retain the tigering.I also try to seprate the red from the blacks.

I might redo a tank and set it up just for them rather than add them to my Crystal tanks then . I was under the impression I shouldn't breed them together or I would lose the traits, so I'm glad I can :encouragement: Looks like some Cherries will be losing their home!

That first one, of Durros, has a lot of white and nice thinner lines. you could get something similar Ineke, maybe, if you cross yours with a SW. If you're not after a particular goal with the offspring, you could just keep adding a different male each month and see what develops?

Yes I prefer the whiter ones but mine is quite old and doesn't look as good as she did. She wasn't young when I got her and I've had her a year now. The other one of mine is similar in looks but slightly whiter.

That sounds an interesting idea. I have 2 tanks I can move Cherries out of and change to keep the Tibees in but just corresponding with BB. And he likes using TB and TBM with the Tibees to get interesting patterns _ there are so many possibilities and I have a beautiful Snow White Mischling - can't believe it's a Mischling it's so white but it has a BlueBolt as a father - so that can try out your suggestion Jamie. How exciting a whole new line to play with.
