3ft shrimps tank

Featured Replies

Here is some pic of my 3ft shrimps tank. Since space is limited and I can have more then one tank I've decide the divide my 3ft into 3 sections to keep a few different shrimps.

That plant is my personal favourite.

It is a crinum calamistratum.

it's commonly available these day.

Has anyone keep twb with ph reading of 7?

Has anyone keep twb with ph reading of 7?

I have some at 7.4 ph

I've been experimenting for a while now and I've come to the conclusion ph is not all that important for shrimp survival at all.

I've had tb from 5.5 to 7.5 ph for long term and everything is fine.

The most important thing imo is mineral balance Tds and gh (all related to molting)

Cheers mate.

I've decide to thin out my shrimps selection since the filtration is very limited.

will keep you guys posted.

My TB TB/Pinto rack was 7.4 a few weeks ago, as my soil was exhausted......have since reduced the PH to 6.8... The breeding and survival rate was good. TDS, and GH is more critical IMO, and if these two WP are off, then the high PH will add to the issue.

  • 2 weeks later...

Cheers guys. Current tank: 40B69AFD-8ED7-4D4E-865C-11CFC240F6FA.jpg Everything is going well ATM (touch wood). Only one problem, the tank look fairly empty due to the lack of shrimps :(
