I don't sell culls sorry, they go into a small pond.

In the past I have given cull koi away and that person breeds these hopeless fish and then sell the babies or same fish as from our bloodlines and there is a heap of crap fish going around as our stock? It's embarrassing!!!

:cower: so you're the one.... LOL

I believe there's really two distinct catergories of "culls"...

1. "%#!^#!&%!" Culls - Rejected due to deformity, colour, pattern...etc. wild tyype cherries, pale yellow, washed out/brown CRS/CBS...etc

2. Culls - Rejected due to selective breeding, colour may not be perfect, patterns don't display the intended breeding program...etc

All "%#!^#!&%!" Culls I have goes to my son's MIXED/Mongrel tank. Culls, due to my selective program, that would be appreciated by new members etc....I fwd/sell...everyone has to start somewhere, so selling "culls" are fine, as long as it's described accurately, and pictures of them shown etc...

Some of my "culls" have turned out to be amazing...

Of course BB, I was only talking about my own, not others!

In koi it is amazing what lengths people will go to, to sell them. I recall a person in WA who was bragging about buying the brother of a grand champion from the east, forgetting that there could have been 500,00 brothers and sisters. It's not like they are horses or similar?

Needless to say this brother, who was very expensive, did not win anything in the shows!

I have to laugh at the "culls" as some of BB's culls are probably better than some shrimp some of us have in our tanks. But wise words were spoken by BB. When he said once a cull always a cull. I was looking at some of my Rili culls today and thinking gee that ones not bad and I quite like this one only to hear his words in my head so they stayed in my cull tank:)
