I just found a dead berried yellow. :( Don't have a living photo and don't really want to post the photo of it upside down.

Sorry for the bad photo but this was my last CRS female. She was a SS No Entry Hino and she was berried when she died yesterday. I have had her as an adult shrimp for almost a year and this was the first time she was berried so I thought she was just a fat male. I believe she died of old age as I had her seperated from the 2 males. I tested the tank and everything was fine. Can't wait for my other tank to finish cycling so I can start from scratch with CRS.

MY another berried Mosura CRS died today ,

i do extract the eggs from them ,hope they can hatch , so sad i have lost that blood line

Nolan, I use to have issues with berried shrimps dying close to the end of their gestation period...did many test, and it stopped once I used salty shrimp. It's to do with lack of mineral...unsure of exactly which one......

I went into panic mode went my favourite shrimp died ....:sorrow:

BB, I'd agree with your observations as I've got less berried shrimp dying then ever before. SaltyShrimp minerals are pretty good.

Thanks BB and Sprae, i actually got it from Dean but i haven't try it yet

because my TDS is too high ,around 400 last time tested by gyung , so i adding RO water slowing to make it down ,so funny i have high TDS but may be just don't have one special mineral that berried shrimp need ~

Need to bring down the TDS by doing WCs. I've found top ups not as effective since the minerals are still there. Just do 10-15% WC every fortnight and slow drip line the new water.

My shrimp that have passed on:( i think alot more will this summer if not all of them:sorrow:
