strong light for mini tank

Featured Replies

I have a tank im going to start up to test out EI method, anyway its probably around 5 litres max, does anyone know any good and strong miniture lamps or lights that could be used for this setup?

Thanks!

There's an Eheim LED spot that's pretty sweet, they aren't very cheap, about $140 :encouragement:

yeh i was looking at those led flood lights!

you have to wire them yourself but,

has anyone got experience wiring them? its not too difficult is it?

Not at all, putting a plug top on is easy, just remember, brown is active/live, blue is neutral & green & gold is earth. The plug top usually has a letter stamped on each terminal so you know which wire goes where :victorious:

Easy peasy japanesy but do remember to have power OFF and NOT plugged in before attempting this!

I purchased 4 from warcom, they came wired with aussie approval and plugs http://www.warcom.com.au/products/40613_ledware_led_flood_light_lamp_240v_10w_1000lm

2 from veco in moorabin, they come with plugs but are a fraction dimmer but the cable is of worse quality, the insulation cracked on me

1 from ****, same quality as the veco one except it didn't have a plug so I opened it up and used an extension cable with a chopped of end
