Repashy Shrimp Souffle

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I have been meaning to do this review for a while now but well I'm lazy! So here it is finally!

First I will talk about how I prepare the shrimp gel, directions recommend a 1 part repashy to 3 parts water but I prefer 1:2and a bit as I don't want the gel to fall apart too easily once in tank. Add the Repashy powder in a mixing container (remember how much you put in so you can add water accordingly) and then mix in other powders, vitamins, etc...you would like. I mixed in spirulina powder, bladderwrack powder, Cracked cell wall pine pollen powder, Nettle powder, Barley Grass, Vitamins, Bee pollen, Kale, Also you can add things like "White Up/Red Up if you want", basically anything that is used for shrimp.

Once you have in all the ingredients you wish, boil up some water and add in the ratio that suits you (as said I like it around 1part repashy to 2-2and1/2 water) and mix quickly (you may want to hold your breath here as this stuff stinks bad!), then pour into a mould or like me just a sandwich bag before it starts to set. Then roll it out

Place the finished product in fridge to set just like jelly. Once set just break off a bit each time to feed to shrimp.

They love the stuff!

Note: Do not make too much at once as it will go off like any other food (I use 2 table spoons at a time)...Keep refrigerated or I like to keep mine in the freezer (it will last at least few weeks without going bad).

If this has been helpful please thank/like the post!

Cheers Chi.

I don't think it is Serkan as my brother bought it from UK and brought it back with him for me from when he worked over there. It can be purchased on eBay though, my friend purchased his there.

Awesome write up Chi, I've been wondering about the Repashy foods for a while, good to hear they are as good as they say :encouragement:

Looks good! I'm assuming it sinks?

great info chi..just wondering as ive never heard of repashy, is this stuff similar to agar agar..?

Yes it sinks, lets say it is a jelly type food for shrimp, I just added extra powders, vitamins, etc because I wanted to bit it is fine on its own.
