Good to see you here beanbag. The number of people on the site is about the same as it was but not many people bother to post these days!

I shall get some photos of the tank and shrimp and post those. I have about 25 shrimp in the tank and it allseems to be stable and steady. I plan to get a few more shrimps next week if possible, as the supplier has a couple of 'new' in stock, then I am done as I have some of all the ones I like/want. Ireally like 'ocean blue'  and 'orange base blue bolt/steel', but they are a cross breed so I won't get those, here is a link to them in case you want to see what they look like;

I have seen 3 babies so far, 1 blue bolt which is about one third full size, and 2 shadow panda which are about quarter full size. Hopefully I may get more babies now we are in summer and the tank is more stable in parameters, though I'm not too bothered if the numbers are small as that makes it easier to keep the tank numbers and variety nicely balanced. I am happy about the shadow panda babies especially as they are differently marked to the adults I have!

The snail infestation problem seems to have sorted itself out.  I remove some when they are easy to reach but the numbers are much better, maybe it is down to the water parameters now being softer, lower Ph and that doesn't suit their shells?

Also need to get a male fighter (betta) for the other tank at some point! Do you still have any betta beanbag?

I never had any fish at all.

I haven't looked at buying shrimps for a few years now.  Interesting to see all these new varieties.  What I have been calling Golden Bee (The Big 6) are "Red and Peach Bolt Shrimp".  I never bought those on purpose - they are the offspring from blue bolt x red wine panda.  (The original rwp all died from the short antenna disease)

Have just got the final batch of shrimp from Shrimpcorner.co.uk. These were the 'wine red Hinomaru' and 'Blue shadow M:osura' and theyare now being drip acclimated until tomorrow!

The majority, if not all (?), of the previous batch from Shrimpcorner and a few other assorted are doing very well and are now well settled. I cannot expect to see all the shrimps at one time  though as there is a (now) large dense plant in the tank, but I counted 23 this morning before the latest delivery! I have pretty much some of every one of the original/older taiwan bee shrimp now (except red ruby).

The only unknown now is whether they will freely breed. I still have the 3 that were born in the tank several months ago, mentioned previously, but not seen any new ones since those? The parameters are still good and as all is going well I shall invest in a new zerowater jug and use a new filter asap!

In the past I have bought a lot of my shrimps/snails/fish through ebay(.co.uk) but there aren't any listed now (for a few weeks) so I assume ebay doesn't allow them anymore in the UK???
