Purple Cherries?

Featured Replies

I see there were a couple of people from Australia who were lucky enough to see a purple shrimp in their tanks.  Does anyone else have purples in their tanks?  I would love to find some and I wouldn’t be averse to dropping a mix into my tank in hopes of possibly getting purple shrimplets.  Is it the chocolates and blues that combine for a purple?

I don't think there are any purple shrimps, it just happens that sometimes the occasional shrimp goes that colour for a while. I had a few shrimps go a beautiful blue for a while but it didn't last.............. this tends to only occur with young shrimps, which molt more often than adults and it may be down to what they have eaten primarily?
