Okay after finding a topic on here I believe it’s a hydra it’s only one I can see but I guess that there will be more. Anyone with any advice on what I should do would be a great help. Thanks. I’m going to get that one I see out of there in the meantime

This description definitely sounds like hydra.

You sure are having some issues with your tank, aren't you Hammy.

Can you find and get a product called Planaria Zero from Benibachi? That's the one I recommend using. It will get rid of your nematodes at the same time. Use this product at half dose, 40-50% water change 1 or 2 days later, then follow up with another half dose 3-4 days after the first dose.

There are a few other products on the market to deal with Hydra. Genchem's No Planaria is the other.

Whatever product you buy, start with a half dose of the recommended amount and always do a follow up treatment a few days later.

Thanks again and yes I am I get that I never cycled the tank but as for the vorticela and other paricites type stuff it can only have come from the seller I know the vorticela did because soon as they arrived I had noticed these white type hairs on a few I took pictures and sent them to the seller and he was extremely sorry he says and that he would be checking his tanks straight away and then told me what it was and how to treat. His interest and information was very little. I purchased them from eBay from marks-shrimps. I suppose I learned my lesson as well and to do more research on the sellers IF I ever buy more from eBay. I’m just happy to have found this forum and know that the information I’m receiving is good. Someone had said that imports can come with lots of problems his site says he’s been raising them for tree years but mmm yeah as I said I need to do more research.

Missing letter lol

Does it look like this?

If it does, I had that in 2 tanks, if you send me a message or email [email protected] with your address I have some SL Aqua Z1  which worked for me and I can send you some as it is internal post. It won't get posted until this weekend if you are happy to wait until then but a friend is coming who can post it then! It is a white powder, directions as per this link, really easy! It is a natural nut oil so is harmless to shrimp and 1 scoop will be sufficient in your 20L.

Hydra normally come on plants and as I say I have had that even from professional shrimp suppliers that I have got plants from! I have (many years ago) bought quite a lot of shrimps on ebay and I never had a problem. The best way to be safe with plants and shrimp is to quarantine them, if that is possible, but for now we are where we are so we just need to get you sorted!
