Hello

I have purchased 2 of the geek techs stc 200 for each of my tanks. Both are heat/chill units. My one unit for my second tank turned off and will not turn back on. I've checked the power boxes that are attached inline with the power cable and both are showing blue lights. Because both units are the same I tried switching the plugs from the one that works and still nothing. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a fuse inside that needs replacement? Is there something that need reset. The unit that quit was purchased in october of this year. That other one that is still working is from June of this year and is working fine. Did I buy a bad machine or is this just a run of bad luck. Luckily I have a backup heater to fall back on just for this reason. I bought both units from a eBay store. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I've tried to contact the seller because I bought a 2 year warranty on both of these and have yet to hear anything.

Sounds like it is broken and needs to be replaced.

stc 200 is a cheap chinese temp controller and there are lots of clone models that are made by different factories and rebranded stc 200 200+ 2000 2000A.  I would re-check every setting in the admin menu to make sure there are no errors.  If the sensor works on the other controller you know its not a broken sensor.  Hopefully seller will look after you.  If not find out who made it and contact them.

If you disconnect the sensor you should see an error light or error code and this will tell you the main processor is at least working.
