what type of drawf water lettace is this.

Featured Replies

I just purchased these today after people say water lettuce is good for shrimps and for the water quality, does these information refer to all variation of water lettuce. These were rather expensive, but the quality seem really good, I think these are a drawf variation, does anyone know what type these are, the photo show are the actual ones I purchased, but have not been placed into my shrimp tank yet.

Size is about 1.5 inches.

They're very pretty.  I wonder how they will grow in your tank.  I have dwarf water lettuce, but the leaves on mine are not that tight.  The shrimp love the long roots, and I rarely see more than 75% of my shrimp, even if I give them something they want to eat, because I think they are all just hanging out eating in the roots of my lettuce and salvinia.  ?

Just be ready to prune.  It grows like a weed.

Thanks for the comment, at present I have these extra large like duckweed and red root floater, they grow so fast that they don't look nice in the tank, the amount triple every 2 weeks, and the extra all get put into my turtle tank.
