Bought these shrimp from petco today, listed as ghost shrimp but I can 100% tell they aren’t. What species is this?

Hello, I went to petco today to get some ghost shrimp. The guy scooped them out but right when I saw it I knew they weren’t ghost shrimps. What type of shrimp is this?

Not the best photo LOL.

But that looks like a wild cherry shrimp. ie. someone's cull.

Sorry, I’ll get a better photo. I was also thinking it’s maybe a snowball shrimp? Since they are kinda whitish

Here is a better picture, I think you might be right as they have brown/red spots.

the one in the back is a true ghost shrimp but the up close one I’m not sure. This one is fully white so I’m guessing it’s either a cull or snowball shrimp. The other ones have a like red markings on them so I think they may be cull red cherries?

It's definitely not a ghost shrimp.

Ghost shrimps have that distinctive hump. This one doesn't.

I bet it's a Caridina species... although I don't know if Caridina typus, Caridina villadolidi or some other species...

Wild neocaradina in my opinion.

I bought a "ghost shimp" many years ago from a pet co and it grew and grew,  I think it was a Amano shrimp.  from the research I did it was the closest match.  it kept eating my other fish.

Any chance of new photos of this shrimp?

I still believe it's Caridina, although I haven't figured out if C formosae or C typus or????
