Hi all - newbie in Scotland. In a former life i ran several tropical fish shops in south-east England but that was 25-30 years ago! I was really into it at the time attending shows, member of local club, bit of judging, plenty of fish breeding and i recall having a few shrimp back then but it was a very different aquatic world in the 80s. Also not really much online help available at the time!?

Since then have been well out of the trade and the hobby, but its time to put that right. (The hobby part at least) This time want to take a look at the whole shrimp thing For now gonna start with a second-hand 30" 15 gallon/70L tank. Would like a little feedback on what i have done so far but will post in the appropriate place for that i hope!

Welcome.

You will find lots of resources and reading material here.

Check out the pinned posts and also those in the Article section.

If you are starting out with a new tank, it is very important to cycle the tank properly and getting the parameters right for the type of shrimp you are intending to keep. Again, read the posts/articles here.

Don't be shy with any questions you might have. ?
