Do people use tank dividers?

Rather than a separate tank, do people use tank dividers to keep species or color variants separate?

Yes, all the time. It's very common to use dividers within the same tank to separate colour variants or species that require the same water parameters.

I have tow 2” thick pieces of HMF style foam dividing a 30 long. I used a canister filter on one end and the return goes to the other end. Works great until you have to clean it a year later lmao ?
