I wasn't even suspecting tasmania have such a big freshwater crayfish  o.O

We do have some interesting crays or yabbies depending on which state you come from. I quite like the little native small yabbies in the Engaeus family although they do look weird with their tiny back ends, like a body builder who spent too much time working on his torso and forgot about working his legs too.

Now that we have finally had a spot of rain here it might even be worth while going on a yabby hunt, even though I would most likely only find Red Claw.
