Help need to identify what's going on in my Nano

Featured Replies

Hi I am at a loss to what's going on this afternoon when I got home my crustaceans where going nuts.

So as the newbie to shrimp keeping I went ahead with the usual tests.

PH: 6.4, ammonia: 0ppm, nitrate: 0ppm, nitrite: 0ppm, phosphorus: 0.03, KH: 2d, GH: 5d, co2: 26mg/L

Nothing else out of the ordinary. So I am stumped and worried a bit.

If they were flying around the tank, usually the males are trying to find the female to mate

Thanks al4n.

I was super worried about them. First time keeping these little creatures and hoping I get it right first time. Spent a few $$ making sure the conditions are perfect but failed to do any research into the behavior of shrimp. Still loads to learn.

Thanks again

Yup, "male dance" more than probably. You'll be grand Pa of several shrimplets in 3-4 weeks then, at least your Tetra Neon snack them

That's all good, they enjoy a fresh feed.  I'm not interested in breeding them at all. Just don't what them to die because of negligence on my part.
