Are Lilly pilly leaves safe in shrimp tanks

Hi. I have a large Lilly Pilly tree in my backyard if I collect the dried brown leaves off someone the dead branchs are they safe to use in a shrimp tank ( we don't spray any chemicals Etc in our yard)

Others can advise better but if they are quite "waxy" then it might not be a good idea.

I think they r waxing when they r green so might be better off just not to use them. Are there any other Australian natives that arevsafe

Have never tried lillypilly leaves. As Rev said, if they are waxy, better not use them. Maybe when the leaves have dried out.

A lot of Aus natives are too waxy. Eucalypts for example. In general, deciduous trees are probably the best candidates.
