What you need.

Fiberglass fly screen.

2 pack baskets from Kmart

Hot glue gun

Ruler or tape measure

Scissors

Building.

The baskets are from Kmart they come in a twin pack for the bigger ones and a 4 pack for the smaller ones. They are about 2.50 a pack.

measure the length and width of your holes that will need to be cut from flyscreen.

I make a few at a time so add all your measurements up and then it makes it easier to cut.

When cutting the fly screen up try to use the individual squares to keep your cut straight.

Now lay them out and hot glue them into place.

For shrimp i double the flyscreen to create much smaller hole.

Guppy and other fry its just one layer.

Leave the hot glue gun on there for long enough that the screen kinda melts into it.

You can see the basics in the pictures above.

These have a lip on them so they float by them selves, you can add some styrofoam and glue it on to make it less likely to tip over in the tank. But i havent had one fall over.

Thanks for reading.

If you get one with holes on the bottom too (they're harder to find, but do exist), the fish poo falls through and saves a bit of cleaning too.
