Competition to close out November - Design\DIY

To accommodate for those that can design but not build and those that can build but not design, this comp will be open to both formats.

Criteria and steps to enter:

To enter this competition you will either need to submit a design for a DIY build or a DIY build itself. The scope is fairly open so as long as it can be related to the Aquatic hobby it is fine to enter. Steps to enter:

  1. Create a new topic in the appropriate section on SKF Aquatics detailing the DIY project/design
  2. Post a link to that topic here

Rules:

  • Minimum post count - 5 to enter
  • Can't be a design or DIY that has been published prior to October 2016
  • Has to be your own work
  • Has to be published here on SKF Aquatics

Limitations:

  • For logistical reasons, this will be limited to our Australian members only

Sponsored by:

1st Prize:

Winner will be selected by SKF staff in consultation with our sponsor

End Date: December 2nd, 2016

As I'm in the middle of a DIY ATM i need just a bit of clarity here. If i start a post in the correct section do i have to have the project finished by Dec 2 or do i need to finish the project and then put up the post?

My thoughts are that i'm going to need help/advice along the way here.

If you know what you are building, put up the design by the due date and just keep updating the thread as you go and you'll be fine.

Does this mean it cant be a design previously published just on SKF? or any other forum/website?

Can't have been published on SKF, will accept if it's recent (max a month old) and it's your original work and can show a full step by step topic.

If it was done October or sooner and you have a full work log topic here you are good to go.

Enter as many times as you like ?

Awesome, my logs aren't hugely detailed as the designs became evolving projects Haha I should probably better explain what I did in a post at the end.

But they have a good explanation on how to safely drill glass :) and they were started in late October, and just adding final touches like sump media positioning etc.

great site.

So this is the other build I've been working on.
