So I've put an order in for 50 Bloody Mary Shrimp that'll be sent off tomorrow, just wondering what foods I should be looking to feed these.

I already have Benibachi Kale Tablets, I'm looking at ordering Boss Aquaria Shrimp Crack tonight, anything else I should consider for these little critters?

You sure your tank has cycled properly? Seems a little too soon for stock.

The filter media is the same media that was being used in the tank prior to setting it up again, I think the filter and it's media wasn't being used for roughly 2 weeks perhaps? All I've done is wash the media in old tank water and place back into the canister.

Might look at some sinking pellets for Bristlenose/Corydoras from the LFS, or some algae wafers perhaps also.

Ok, just remember to test the water parameters first.

Yeah looking at the Shrimp Crack at the moment, not a fan of the Shrimp Snow, I know it's benefits but just bloody messy, haha.

Ended up buying 2 x Shrimp Crack last night, that and th Benibachi Kale Tablets should do the trick, plus I'll have a look locally for some sinking pellets used for Bristlenose/Corydoras, or algae wafers.

Also bought some more plants, really wasn't going to go down the path of stem and moss plants but they are small leaf, easy to care for and I think they'd suit the tank, 1 x Hemianthus Glomeratus, 1 x Micranthemum Umbrosum, 1 x Hydrocotyle Tripartita, 2 x Christmas Moss.

I wouldn't generally consider ground-cover type plants "easy" in the sense that they often do need some care or end up looking scraggly.  If  you don't mind them doing their own thing, it's great.  I currently have Hydrocotyle and have had a few other ground cover in my shrimp tanks in the past and almost always ended up tearing them out because they'd get messy and need neatening/trimming at least once a month.  The Hydrocotle is having issues rooting in the small round shrimp soil pellets (Ista shrimp soil + fine grade inert black gravel) and keeps coming loose. 

Yeah just going to plant them behind the driftwood and let them do their thing, once they get to a certain point of being too large or not looking right, just give them a trim and throw the trimmings outdoors in the ponds.

@Kaylenna, how do you find the Ista soil? Never used it before.

It is cheap, but that shows.  Some of mine turned to mud when I had to redo a tank recently.  The soil had only been in there about 3-4 months.  It was effective at controlling the pH and looked good until it melted.  I'd likely go with something that lasts better next time I need new substrate.

That's a very common complaint from people that have used that brand.

Mind you, I consider it a good introduction to the idea of a fancy substrate and all.  I don't regret trying it, but I will be looking for other options.
