I've had a Mr Aqua 12g set up for about 2 weeks roughly now, Fluval Shrimp Stratum used, a long with a base layer of old aquarium gravel, filter is a Eheim 2213 with old and new filter media, plants are Anubias nana on driftwood and Bolbitis heudelotii, I put a thin layer of Mineral Powder on the base of the tank before putting the aquarium gravel in, topped off with Fluval Shrimp Stratum, tank was filled in rainwater, new BioPro 90cm LED sitting on top, will be adding Amazon Frogbit and some sort of moss to the tank, MAYBE small amounts of HC also.

OK, now, what do you think I should keep, shrimp wise?

Red Cherry Shrimp?

Yellow Cherry Shrimp?

Crystal Red Shrimp?

Chameleon Shrimp?

Riffle Shrimp?

Darwin Algae Eaters?

Darwin Red Nose?

Anything else?

I'd start with cherry shrimp personally and if they went well I'd add more varieties in a couple months.

A shot taken earlier today of the tank, going for a clean, simple look, but is definitely lacking something, maybe 2 more Anubis on driftwood, or some small groups of Glosso or MC, or small groups of some kind of Moss.

Have inquired about some Bloody Mary Shrimp also, might consider a small group of CRS, some colour to the tank, either a black or frosted background as well.

Just looking for opinions on timing for my light, tank is a 90cm x 24cm x 23cm I think, 45l, light is a 90cm BioPro LED, is 6 hours too much? 8 hours too much?

Also, will be heading to Adelaide sometime over the next couple days due to urgent Specialist appointments, just waiting to hear back on days and times, what are some good fish stores in Adelaide? Cheers.

I reckon 6 hours is enough for anubias and bolbitis.
