Hello ☺️

Just a quick introduction, my name is Brian and I have been keeping aquariums for over 30 years. I've had a planted 75 set up for about the last 12 or so and have had a few Amano shrimp and Red Cherries of which 1 Amano is still kicking. At various points I've bred angels in the tank which did in the cherry population. I recently bought some Blue Dream shrimp which has renewed my interest in shrimp. The only fish in the tank now are a RT Shark and a Chocolate Kuhli loach.

Looking around at all the variations I've become particularly interested in Pintos and Pandas which led me to mischlings. I'm trying to sort through genetics and Tibees and such which is how I found this forum.

Right now I'm content to be starting a colony of the blues but would like to eventually become involved in line breeding so I have much to learn.

Thanks for listening, looking forward to digging in here.

RT Shark

He must think you're bringing him some delicious treats!

In all seriousness - do you know if your shark and loach are likely to snack on your shrimps?

Delicious treats, LOL!

the loach I'm not worried about at all but the shark, although he ignores the shrimp at this point, will probably eat some shrimplets once they begin breeding. I will probably remove him at some point.

Welcome to SKF @B2L, I'm with @Kaylenna on this one. Shrimp only tanks are the way to go as any fish will go for shrimp ( If it fits in their mouth they will eat it. The only exception is a great little fish Otocinclus ( dwarf sucker fish/catfish ), they live peacefully with shrimp and are interesting little creatures in their own right.

Welcome again !
