Thanks for the welcome!
Who am I and why did I join?
I think it is accurate to call me an accidental shrimp breeder.
About six months ago I got ten Crystal black shrimp, from a supposedly reputable breeder, and put them in a 13,5 gallon tank, just for something different to my Malawi tank and to learn something new. After three months I got impatient and decided to add something with colour that wouldn’t cross breed so I got ten OE-tigers. I then realized that those do cross breed (Doh!) and divided the tank in two using course filter foam. All well and they started reproducing regularly but some of the shrimplets looked different and I assumed I had got an unintentional cross breed before I divided the tank. I was thinking about selling some of the CB:s and a speculator came by to have a look.
"You have mischlings" she said.
I have what?
I googled mischling and found "jayc":s excellent write up Tibee, Taitibee, Pinto, Mischling, F1, F2 terms explained so I joined this group.
Right now I have one or maybe two KK, at least one wine red and at least four or five panda shrimplets.
My plan is to sell all (or most) of the OE-tigers and use that half of the tank to isolate the TB:s. Any tips are welcome as I obviously do not really know what I am doing!

/Boris
