CRS Culls making a comeback.

Featured Replies

About a month or 2 ago I had a Very nice CRS that started to look quite unwell. I removed it to a HOBB and kept an eye on its conditions it's the idea to cull it if it didn't improve. Keeping it on its own seemed to do it some good so a couple of weeks ago I added it back to the general population - very happy I did ;)

Anyone else had a cull that made it back from certain doom?

Facing the exact same situation this week and unsure how too proceed .. one of my favourites. Dont have anywhere to put it though sadly.

Hope you don't mind me semi-hijacking your thread @Foxpuppet ! Here is the pic of shrimp I wish would return from the dead so to speak .. :-(

Any tips would be appreciated of course!

There actually seems to be 2 around at the moment with this loss of colour symptom going on at the moment. Not sure if I should be concerned or just write it off as coincidence and continue to monitor ..

Love n peace

No Probs@revolutionhope

That's kind of what mine looked like, lost colour, pinkish hue. I was worried it was rust disease. But seems to have come off ok.

Were these your own bred shrimp or stock you had added?

Hey @Foxpuppet these are my shrimps, I'm quietly hopeful that they are old but it is a bit concerning that 2 shrimps are displaying this symptom around the same time. There are still other berried shrimps and the rest of the colony seems in good health.. fingers crossed for now I guess.

That's awesome that yours made a full recovery and is now even berried you must really be stoked. It gives me some hope too lol. The issue is that if I want to give them a chance to get better then they will need to go into a tank that has significantly lower pH; and that if it turned out to be a disease then it will affect my chance of putting new stock into that tank in future when I'm ready.. Cheers
