Blue Taitibee

just wanted to share how much Taitibees can change in very short times and why culling too young is not always a good thing. This little light blue speck went to full dark blue then to this in 6 weeks. Not sure what it will end up like. There are 3 the same just a little difference in depth of blue. These are from the Blue Taitibee x with a Tiger but I'm not sure if it was a blue or a blonde tiger. Last picture is mum.image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

@ineke Wow!

Goes to show that you sometimes it pays off to give 'culls' time to mature

How's it looking now?

it's a tiny bit bigger - seems very slow growing - but looks pretty much the same. I will try and get a picture tomorrow. Unfortunately mum has since passed on but she was around 2 years old.

Look forward to seeing the photo. What could be causing the slower growth?

I'm not sure why - maybe it's me being impatient- they are healthy enough swimming and grazing . TB take longer to mature and these have strong  TB genes. I haven't had Tigers for long so don't know if they are slow growing?

I apologise in advance for the quality of the pictures. I spent all morning trying to get them to sit still long enough and close enough to get a picture. I really must buy a macro lens. These are 3 different shrimp-  1 new one I found this morning still quite small - it's from a different drop of babies. image.jpg

It's a bit weird isn't it! I'm not sure what I'm going to do with these guys. I have 2 more now and the big blue Tibee that was the mother of the first 3 has now passed on from old age so I don't know who gave me the 2 new babies.
