Yes Disciple it is a beauty and the female is berried hopefully to this male. I wonder where it came from???

I will try and get a few better pictures once I learn to use the camera better. The shrimp was almost at the back of the tank

Just checking to see if these are better -it's too hard to see on the phonered.jpgblue.jpg

Ah I see improvement!! The Blue is a cull blue cherry from out of my pond - the CRS babies are my new youngsters coming up they have improved no end from their grandparents the grades are getting higher and the quality is much improved.

What new phone did you get?

It's an android - Teca brand with an 18 mp camera. It has an onboard editing app included but the pictures look awesome on the phone not so good on the computer. It's the operator not the deviceLOL I have a lot to learn but with this I can send the pictures direct from the phone where before I had to send it to the computer first. Again operator not knowing what she is doing!

You have a nice red tiger there Ineke. Your crs have solid color there too - superb.

Thank you they are all works in progress but it's nice to see the improvement. The Pattern on the Taitibee is getting closer to what I'm aiming for - the hard part is getting them to breed true but I am getting a few each drop of babies so will be able to do more selective breeding later this year I hope

Wish I have such a blue cull

I have more out in my pond . I had given up breeding Neos but it might be worth catching a few more out of the pond and giving them another go.

You might have absolute gems in that pond out there Ineke- that blue shrimp is so even-coloured and bright that it looks like it has a very good pedigree. Maybe you gave up a bit early, so the cherries continued your breeding program in the pond for you- please let us know when you find mythical purple cherries in that pond!?

LOL no the Blues were never really in my breeding program with the Neos. I had beautiful blacks with a blue base . I had quite a large collection of  Chocolate, Black, Rili and Blue Velvet from the Rili. The culls were put out in the pool if nobody wanted them and over the last 2 years the colour in the pond has turned to mainly blue or black with an occasional Bloody Mary. The Blue Velvets were never put out there so apart from the rilis perhaps adding a bit of blue it's mostly from the blacks. There are a lot of very pale blues out there which might get a bit darker in the aquarium setting as the water is different parameters inside . It might be an interesting way to spend a day just catching and sorting them.

I often get better pics with my phone.

i find strong lighting helps and if you autofocus and then pull back a cm or two they capture a better image. Nice shrimp btw ?

Thanks Inverted -I haven't had time to practice but will get back to it .The phone takes great pictures it's just hard to keep my shrimp close enough to the front of the tank. My DSLR takes good pictures but as I haven't got a macro lens the phone seems better and easier.
