Yellow King Kong Genetics

Featured Replies

Do any of you know the genetics of yellow King Kong in Australia? Is it the same as in the UK with TT and BKK genetics? I want to keep a pure TB tank and concerned that I will muddle the genetics, should I add them to my TB tank if there are tiger genes in there. The yellow king kongs are breeding true.

I had YKK's pop up from my Tangerine Tigers, so it completely confused the theory they came from KK x ? Not really sure but I've always seen YKKs being more close to the tiger family than anything.

I can't help you out with the exact genetics of the Ykk because I bought mine. Im pretty sure there is caridina serrata in there so they are definitely not a TB! I wouldn't put them in unless you want to create a bunch of 'steel' type hybrids.

Thanks guys, definitely not adding them to my tank then.

I had them show up in my Taitibee tank so agree they appear to have Tiger genetics .
