Small fish and inverts. LIST

Featured Replies

I was trying to find some sort of list of fish that would be small enough to get along with shrimp, I couldn't find anything.

So I decided to make one with what I wanted, but lost that still incomplete file when my hard drive crashed. I redid it, this time in a simplified, more universal version, classing fish, inverts and amphibians by size up to 10 cm. I also included all water types instead of just fresh.

The general rule is that if it can fit in their mouths, they can and probably will eat them.

That said, I've kept endlers with my natives and cherry shrimp in the past. I did stop though as the endlers did start to get a little more aggressive as their numbers grew. Ottos have never been a problem and probably one of the only shrimp safe ones. Aren't they vegetarian?

Chili Rasboras are pretty awesome fish to keep with shrimps as well!

They are pretty expensive if you want to buy a school of them.

Like I said, my first list was for me and included more parameters. I made this one more general and shared it with fish groups for people also interested in nano setups.

As I put in the note at the end, research always has to be done for compatibility...

I think it's always good to hear about people experiences. Always better than hearing about the theoretical.
