Some of my latest Taitibees. They are showing strong TB patterns despite  no TB in the tank for over 12 months.

I'm quite excited to see what her babies look like. Her mother was a normal looking Tibee and comes from a 9 th generation Tibee line. Her father was an F8 Mischling and she has been bred back to a sibling but not sure which colour as they are all in together -RR , BB, Panda and KK. I thought she was a TBMM but apparantly she needs to be referred to as a Taitibee . That's the problem with the hybrids just not quite sure which group they belong to especially when they look so much like the TB

I'm hoping to get there one day myself as I've just started up a shrimp tank

once you get the basics right the hybrids are reasonably easy to keep. An F 1 Tibee is a very tough little shrimp and can become accustomed to a wide range of water conditions even the F2 &F 3 are pretty robust. The variety they give you is great and allows you to keep multiple patterns in 1 tank . Here are just a few plus I will find a picture of some F 1 Tibee which I find attractive in their own right.

Hi, just wondering what those white flakes you're feeding your shrimp are!

They are called snow flakes or shrimp snow.

It's high in protein.

Doesn't foul the water if left in the tank. So it makes a great holiday food. Throw a few in before going away on holiday for the week.

I keep snow in my tanks all the time but I siphon it out each week and put fresh in. I was of the understanding that there is little nutrition in it as it is just soy bean husks, it's the bacteria/ biofilm  that covers it in the tank that the shrimp graze on - I wasn't aware that it was high in protein. I use a variety of commercial and home made foods plus leaves and veggies as the main diet.

Sweet thanks! I might have to give that a try next
