@jc12 mentioned this algae scraper  -http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/281731924605?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&var=580738020213&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT when i discussed my algae issues so i decided to take the leap of faither and purchase one after my poorly performing Aqua one scraper failed to perform.

.

Well i got it today and it performs excellent! I got the larger one given i have a 4 ftr so i am able to clean the hole back using just one hole. It seems to be well made and blades more then do the job causing the big build ups of algae to easily combine together as it rolls fdown the glass. That was not aided though by my canister filter still running so did fish some out with my net.

Based on price and good build i would definitely recommend having one of these in the cupboard in the event you ever have to deal with algae.

Thanks to @jc12 for the initial info
