powdered shrimp food

Featured Replies

hey guys wondering what powder shrimp food we have available in aus and where from??

Bossaquaria has the Benibachi Kale Tablets ( dissolves to powder ), Spirulina Powder from health food shops...

For the world best Brickie, I sort of have a spare Mosura Excel Flake ( powder ), alternatively pound/grind the food you have.

I'm not familiar with any shrimp powder foods. I just assumed they'd make a mess, but there's plenty of pellets around. At the moment I'm trialling AZOO Max growth. It's like a flat wafer but will turn into a powder once it softens. Very much like Sera Viformo if you've ever seen or used that. That's another food that shrimp love.

Of course they like Bees Pollen, again not a powder but will break down into the tank like a powder.

Ahh, I forgot about the viforma...that's what my shrimps will be fed tomorrow. Good advise there Chris.....

I sprinkle some Hikari first bites into my tank every so often. Not a lot of it, Maybe the amount of the ball point in a pen.

hahaha too kind marcus! i have some kale tablets already, might have to take a trip to a health food shop and get some spirulina and bee pollen cheers guys!

powdered food really is the best cause it's easily accessible for the babies :)

bee pollen, spirulina powder, kale tablets are great! other good powdered foods include mosura bioplus, and organic barley grass from the health shop. i heared the shirakura and benibachi baby powder foods are really good as well? but i haven't tried it before.

I mix my baby shrimp food myself at the moment: fennel, gingko, spirulina and MM powder are in it. Most commercial foods also are good.

I grabbed a container of the Benibachi Kale tablets..... My shrimp went nuts for it. It breaks down very quickly from a tablet to a powder. The pellets are also soft enough to break into halves and quarters. I'm still considering trying some of the Mosura Excel, but then I'd seriously have WAY too many food choices for my shrimp and I'd need to get more shrimp to feed ;)
