NoGi Thanks for the needed help on the article absolutely awesome job bud. I really appreciate it. I just hope this will be a great starting point for people wanting to get more out of their planted shrimp tanks. It can be a major juggling act and feel like a pointless effort, but there is light at the end of the tunnel, it just takes time and a bit of effort. The rewards are definitely worth it. Happy shrimping

Being new to the world of shrimp keeping and loving, I've seen TDS quoted in shrimp for sale ads but never fully appreciated why it was mentioned. (I thought it was preciousness, lol) After reading this well written and clear article, I have a new appreciation for the impact TDS have not only on the general health of fish and shrimp but also on the success of sustaining them longterm. I would suggest reading this article, walking away, thinking about it and then re-reading it as it will take a bit of time to digest, particularly if you all you thought necessary to keeping fish health was food and clean water! I'm off to buy a TDS pen!
