    Hi, I started a new tank and almost cycled but my PH with fluval stratam is 6.2 or so . I have snails and added food is that Ok or too low ?thanks

    Welcome to the forum, I hoe you find all the information you want and enjoy your time on here! Ph 6.2 for CRS is perfect. When you get the shrimp you should acclimate them slowly, using a drip method is usual/advised.

    @vinniemabuna the answer to your question depends on what shrimp you will be adding. Fine for Caridina type shrimp. I aim for pH 6.0 - 6.5 with mine. A bit too low for Neocaridina. I aim for pH 6.6 to 7.0 with mine. pH 6.2 is also too low for snails in the long term. You will find their shells will go thin and brittle due to the acidity.
