Ooh excited to see how that mischling breeding goes! I have a recently molted EBB Female in this juvie colony of Princes and Clockwork Oranges so... Could be some weird mischlings here too. I got sidetracked by my new septi-annual passion, rare houseplants. Slow progress towards a 8'x10' shrimp/plant room in the shop. But the Midnights and Clockworks showed up today. Lemme potato these pics and I'll get some up.

Today I saw a very tiny new born shrimplets. All my shrimp seem to be doing well. They seem active right now but there’s at least two molts. I decided I wanted 70% red crystals 15% tigers and 10%blacks 5% orange Tiawan bees. I know blacks are dominant colour that’s why i got only a few. One tiger is berried and she’s gorgeous... correction 2 wow. She actually has a orange tinge to her....no more crystals are pregnant though .The plants are looking ok I think my tank looks great wish I could figure out how to add pictures....

I don't see anything out of place with those parameters. Can you ask what parameters they were kept in from the place you bought them? maybe they were kept in very different water parameters.

Good job! What anti flood measures have you taken in particular?

The tank needs a hood to sit 20-30 kg of filters on. The coat hooks were my idea for handles to lift the lid but also (and more importantly) to attach the chain that comes from back of tank so the lid can be held open while I work on the tank. Normally the lid would be folded back flat but you can no longer do that once trickle filters are installed on top. Look at second last photo to see the chain hanging down back of tank.

Hi everyone, I got about 15 Zebra Babaulti shrimps a few weeks ago and I've been losing a shrimp every 3-4 days since I've got them. I'm honestly not sure why since my tank is mature and the parameters seem to check out. I was wondering if anybody has any insight? Thanks! My current tank setup: - 16 gallon tank w/ fluval 107 canister and rain bar - Black fluorite sand substrate with lots plants (anubias, moss) - Boiled malaysian driftwood and rocks - RO water re-mineralized with saltyshrimp gh/kh+ - pH 7.8 - Gh = 8, kH = 3.5 - Temp = 76-81F - Nitrites 0, ammonia 0, nitrates <5 - a daily small pinch of Bacter AE and shrimpbaby - daily 5mm of shrimp king complete sticks - The only other thing in the tank is an established colony of yellowback neocaridinas who are thriving and breeding.
