Cardina are bit different than noes....lol 1st I can’t see the saddles like noes... and the eggs also don’t stick out. Sometimes the black crystal makes me do a double take to notice her eggs. I don’t know how many times I panic thinking did she lose them! until she turns to the right angle and I see her move them around. The eggs are as dark as her colour almost. She’s not loaded with eggs so I’m sure it be a small batch of babies.

Well I got the ro water from big al curb side pick up and lol of course 3 red crystals.... I did a top off and all seems ok. Saw 3 small babies today. Their mom are raccoons tigers and father? Who knows. It seems raccoon tigers are like rabbits always seem to get berried fast.... the black crystal still berried so maybe I have some from her soon too. I added magnolia leaves. I’m hoping for more berried females. Question does juvenile patterns change as they grow? One of the shrimps was very black when I got it but now the white part seems to be expanding....one of the new ones similar it opposite looks more red then white and I’m wondering if that will change too

I have had a few shrimp colour change, though these were culls from my old tank that I dumped into other tanks. They were completely clear with no colour in the old tank and then went red in the tanks they were dumped into, I put it down to the diffferent water parameters and there have only been a couple. These were red cherry, I doubt caridina would be the same though? It makes it very difficult to know which you should cull so I would let them grow to about half size efore making a cull decision, but I deefinitely recommend culling with neocaridina as otherwise it gets ot of hand (like mine) and the majority will be wild type colour. You don't get the same wld type drab shrimp with caridina so from that point it isn't such a problem, unless you are set on keeping to the one colour/pattern and improving that of course but even then I wouldn't be too eager to remove young shrimp as they may improve as they get a little older. Sounds like you have happy shrimp! Colors and patterns do develop/change as they mature and get bigger the pattern will disperse over a larger area.

It's still a minimum amount of space to meet my goals at 9 enclosures, I think I'll split the 30 long into 3 for 10 total. Let's see, that'll give me tanks to pursue and refine: Boas- Really would prefer 3 tanks at least: 2 tanks for crossing into my red and black lines and 1 tank pure. Kind of want to grab another lineage for another tank. Black & Red galaxy fishbones- 2 tanks, I'm going to cull off the pintos that don't have meritable traits. Blue pintos Metallic blue fancy blacks "Chocolate/blood/sangria?" red morph Advance nanancies Blue bolts And I'm already short tanks to still keep a colony.

Thanks! Bought Pixel 4a 5gs here about a year ago to make sure to get good pictures of my son as he grows. I think they are 2nd only to iphones, and I'm meh on apple. Yeah scorpion and dragons blood are pretty new and expensive here. I haven't seen a scorpion that wowed me yet though. Maybe in person? Shrimpenvy.com and buypetshrimp.com are some of the most boutique here atm. Shrimp envy has those caped galaxies I'm eyeballing. Right now in my newly cycled tank(weird dimensions, I think it's a 30 long) I have 4 Matten filters so I intend to add 4 tanks and split them all in two. Was going to use 10 gallons but they've been decommissioned for years and I have more cracks than I remember so I may have to hunt some more. I haven't done a water change in the new tank yet, getting a heap of subwassertang today so I may have to get it going or rig something. Wife had a little foot surgery so nothing's really happening other than chasing the kid about. Three Forks is in the north west USA in Montana, just east of the Rocky Mountain continental divide. Short hot summers and cold long winters, those are the only 2 real seasons. Despite being super cold we have a couple places around with hot springs/streams that have kept subtropical fish like mollies, swordfish and mosquitoe fish for decades. Shrimps? Hmm. Could happen. Ok I'm on kid duty, talk to you later.
